Vortex Voltak is a company based in Colombia that creates animation films and art exhibitions around the world

Our films always strive for visual experimentation, combining different methods and techniques. Vortex Voltak had experimented with digital 2D and 3D Animation and also with traditional materials like charcoal, ink and oil painting. We create artworks with the strong conviction of understanding animation as this alchemy that transmutate obsesions into visual energy.

In 2023 Vortex Voltak produced Damián Alquichire’s first retrospective exhibition: “Furor Hermético”. This exhibition took place in the Museum of Modern Art of Bucaramanga (Bucaramanga, Colombia). Later on, this exhibition also took place in Museo Guttuso (Sicily, Italy). The exhibition included around 80 artworks between paintings, drawings, engravings and animations.

Vortex Voltak has had alliances and the support of: The Colombian Ministry of Culture, Bucaramanga’s City Hall, The Municipal Institute of Culture and Tourism of Bucaramanga, El Laboratorio Creativo de Santander (LACSA), Animaphix Film Festival, Associazione culturale QB and Museo Guttuso among others.
